We’re fairly conscious about our scrap production here at TWM and are always on the lookout for clever ways to reanimate material that may have served its first purpose. We were delighted to befriend the like-minded neighborhood woodworkers at Offcut, an operation which makes functional, beautiful goods exclusively with their studio waste material.
This is a collection of objects produced collaboratively between our two studios in a months-long game of design ping-pong. Everything is made using scrap material from our respective practices. These are one of a kind pieces, but everything you see in the collection can be made to order - with the very important caveat that what you get may be slightly different from what you see! Remember, we're working with the scrap material we have on hand ... so a chair might have to be made in say oak instead of walnut. Or the colors of a cushion might be red and purples instead of blues and pinks.
Either way, we can make you something that looks very similar to what you see here - and we will work with you as best as we can to get your very own piece of Offcut & TWM collaboration. Please be in touch (info@theweavingmill.com) if you are interested in commissioning a piece.
