Claire Rabkin is an artist and educator from Chicago living in Berkeley, CA. Her work is concerned with depicting the intimacies of identity in the body and the ways that experience and awareness abstract accepted realities.

WORKSHOPS WITH ENVISION UNLIMITED
While in residence at Westtown Center, Claire set up an indigo vat and led a series of workshops exploring the dye and various dye techniques including shibori, block resists and batik. The workshops culminated in a series of indigo-dyed fabrics which will be used in the construction of collaboratively-designed quilts in Westtown’s sewing program.
